🌟 Amazing moments from the world of photography

Today I will tell you about how sometimes accidents turn into masterpieces.

The spontaneous "Kiss in Times Square" is one of the most romantic photo stories.
The photo has become a symbol of an entire era, it was taken on August 14, 1945 in the heart of New York City.
On that day, President Truman announced the surrender of Japan, and the Americans staged "folk festivals" on this occasion. Alfred Eisenstadt, a photojournalist for Life magazine, watched the festivities in Times Square: "... I saw a sailor running all over the street and grabbing all the women I saw: grandmothers and girls, fat and slender - it doesn't matter. I ran in front of him with my Watering Can and took pictures over my shoulder, but I didn't like everything that turned out. And then suddenly, like a flash, I saw that he had grabbed something white. I turned around and pressed the button at the very moment when the sailor kissed the nurse. If she had been wearing something dark, I would never have photographed them. The same thing – if it had a light uniform on it, there would be no picture. Quite by chance, it was a perfect balance. People tell me that when I die, I will be remembered for this photo."

So, "Kiss" became one of the most recognizable 🤩 photos in the world, glorified its author and became a symbol of peace for many Americans 🙏
